A rare early 18th-century Dutch japanned chinoiserie cabinet, circa 1700–1740, executed in a deep black ground richly decorated with finely hand-painted gilt chinoiserie scenes. The cabinet stands on its original base and retains a beautiful aged patina that reflects its authentic age and character.
The interior is fitted with two interior drawers, while the lower section features one exterior drawer, offering practical storage while maintaining the traditional construction of early Dutch cabinets. The back panel has been renewed, ensuring structural stability. The cabinet shows age-appropriate wear and traces of use, consistent with more than three centuries of history, enhancing its genuine antique appeal.
