Dutch Oak Bureau Bookcase, 18th Century

An impressive Dutch oak bureau bookcase dating from the 18th century, featuring an elegant shaped pediment with carved crest above a glazed display cabinet. The upper section is fitted with glass doors and shelves, making it ideal for displaying books, porcelain, or collectibles.

The lower section consists of a fall-front bureau with a fitted interior containing small drawers and compartments, above three graduated drawers and two side cupboards. The cabinet stands on carved claw feet and retains its original brass handles and hardware.

Crafted in solid oak, this bureau bookcase combines practical storage with the refined proportions and craftsmanship typical of Dutch frysland furniture from  the 18th century.

The cabinet shows age-related wear and signs of use consistent with its age. Please refer to the photographs for the condition.
