A fine example of 19th-century cased taxidermy by James Hutchings. This display features a young fox (fox cub) in a detailed and decorative naturalistic setting, complete with foliage and rocks. Original old labels remain affixed to the reverse of the case, adding historical value and authenticity.
The case is in good overall condition with age-related wear consistent with its period. The glass and display remain intact and present well.
