A beautiful example of 19th-century English cased taxidermy by the renowned James Hutchings of Aberystwyth. This display features two well-preserved pheasants set against a naturalistic background with rocks, plants, and a decorative touch – including a butterfly perched on the rocks.
The case is in good overall condition with signs of age-related wear, including a small chip in the lower left corner of the glass. The taxidermy itself remains vibrant and intact, showcasing Hutchings’ detailed and lifelike craftsmanship.
