Large Southeast Asian Bronze Rain Drum (Sold Individually)
Striking and substantial Southeast Asian bronze rain drum, also known as a frog drum or drink table, crafted in the traditional Shan style and likely originating from Eastern Burma (Myanmar). Attributed to the skilled artisans of the Karen tribes, this piece features intricate tribal decorations and exceptional craftsmanship.
The drum displays a richly aged verdigris green patina and a tapered form with sturdy side handles for hanging. The round top is adorned with sculpted frogs, concentric rings, and a central sunburst or star motif. Both sides are uniquely decorated with five elephants in relief—an uncommon and eye-catching detail.
