Tabletop miniature croquet set.
An original parlour game of croquet. The table top set comes on its original turned mahogany stand and contains 8 mallets and ball, all made of boxwood. To complete the set there are 8 wire hoops with lead weigthed feet.
Table Croquet was likely the invention of the Victorians who had a craze for all sorts of parlour games. Miniature versions of the popular games were most likely manufactured bij the great games manufacturers of the time such as Jonh Jacques and F.H Ayres. Does not included makers name.
Would look lovely in an old display cabinet or a a center piece on a side table.
